Two players from the Club will visit the Children's Ward on a rotational basis, bringing gifts for the children to help ease a difficult time. The Cowboys will also help renovate the children's indoor recreation area and convert it into Cowboys Corner, including a signed and framed 2006 Cowboy's jersey.
The relationship will also see incentives provided for those children who are undergoing intensive rehabilitation to provide encouragement and a goal for their recovery.

Give Me 5 For Kids -
Throughout the month of June, 4TOFM are promoting the Give Me 5 For Kids Campaign.
All funds raised will go towards the purchase of Multi Sensory Equipment for the Townsville Hospital Children's Ward. This equipment will be of great benefit to the Childrens Ward, in particular the burns bathroom and chemotherapy room. Various combinations of furniture, lighting and sound are added to modify the atmosphere of these rooms.
Equipment ranging from effects projectors, music systems, illuminated bubble columns, vibrating devices and aroma diffusers can be combined to alter the environment in many ways. These all help to relax the child and take their mind off the medical treatment (as much as possible). Most of the items are able to be moved, so as to benefit invdividual patients needs.
A lot of children are extremely distressed at having to spend time in hospital. These techniques are a wonderful way of providing a feeling of safety for the patients. The Foundation are extremely pleased to be involved with this campaign once again.
If you would like to make a donation for this worthy cause, you can contact 4TOFM on 4729 2111, or the Townsville Hospital Foundation on 4796 1337.
